DVD is a commonly used abbreviation of Digital Versatile Disc or Digital Video Disc. The various DVDs are split into regions where they were released and it is usually unlikely that they can be played on a DVD player in another part of the world.

The following is a guide to the regions and which areas of the Earth they relate to.

| 5 | Eastern Europe (former countries of the Soviet Union), Indian subcontinent, Africa, North Korea, and Mongolia |

| 8 | International venues such as aircraft, cruise ships, etc. |

Before being released in complete season sets, Andromeda was releases in volumes containing between four or five episodes.

After a complete season was released in volumes in the US it was shortly followed by a complete season box set. In the UK season box sets werent released untill all five seasons had been released in volumes.
