Samsarra is a planet that was the center of the Commonwealth-Pyrian Conflict. It was inhabited by 56,312 Commonwealth citizens until a Pyrian fleet dropped atmosphere generators on the planet's surface and left without a word. The Andromeda responded and destroyed the generators but the Pyrians brought more, and the Battle of Samsarra was fought for the planet. The Commonwealth was victorious, but only because they destroyed the planet. ("Point of the Spear")
