Overview[]
The Magellan Melrow was a C-class transport ship that served as a special transport for the New Systems Commonwealth.
History[]
Tasked with transporting File-D, the Magellan Melrow came under attack by Nietzscheans while in the process of moving the weapon to a secure New Systems Commonwealth facility when a missile impact set off the device. This rendered the crew comatose, allowing Calleb Voth of the Rakshasha Pride to board and seize the weapon. The crew was later recovered by Captain Hunt and sent to a research facility, to see if the effects of File-D could be reversed. When the Eureka Maru found the ship, it was nothing but a drifting wreck, with extensive damage both inside and out. What activated File-D was a missile strike on the starboard (right) engine under the ship; it also knocked the remaining engine on the port (left) side offline, leaving the ship drifting in space. The damage inside was worse as Captain Hunt made his way to the Melrow's Command Center. ("Harper/Delete")
Trivia[]
- Named for the early 16th century Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan, who organized the first circumnavigation of the Earth.
