Spirit of the Abyss is the third song in the Andromeda Coda: The Musical Journey album. The beginning "howling sounds" in the song are actually from a website named "Saturn Sounds", where radio signals from far-ranging probes observing Saturn are converted to audible sounds. The sounds are meant to convey a feeling of loneliness and emptiness that relate to the Spirit of the Abyss. The violins in the end are supposed to resemble that everything is being sucked down into a Singularity.
